INFORMATION: Our breakfast club started as a part of pilot scheme through the Welsh Assembly; breakfasts are free to all children. We serve a variety of food including, toast, cereal, crumpets, fruit and fruit juice, also low sugar jam and cheese spread, milk and drinking chocolate. We have 5 staff members who hold up to date food hygiene certificates, CRB checks and First Aid certificates. One member is a qualified nursery nurse. Our breakfast club has run successfully since March 2005, we recently entered the breakfast club of Britain awards and were finalists in the Welsh category. Once children have eaten they can choose from a number of activities set out by our staff members, and staff members are also available for outside activities.
